How To Remove Oil And Grease Stains

Oil and grease stains on a asphalt driveway are unsightly. With the right techniques you can remove the oil stains and get your asphalt driveway looking good again. It can be messy work but it's definitely a do it yourself task that can be done in a day.

Items Needed:

Old clothing you don't mind throwing away.
TSP cleaning agent
Hose
Rubber gloves
Safety goggles
Scrub brush
Old rags
Garden hose

Oil And Grease Stain Removal Steps:

1. Using old household rags, wipe up any wet oil or grease from the asphalt driveway. These will be flammable - dispose of them safely.

2. Apply the cleaning agent, using the package instructions.

3. Scrub the oil and grease areas thoroughly  with a stiff brush.

4. Hose off the areas that were cleaned and allow the water to dry.

5. If necessary, repeat these steps again to remove any stubborn oil or grease stains from the asphalt.
