Oil-modified urethane, easy to handle and with excellent leveling characteristics is a popular concrete coating.

When concrete is added in layers, bonding agents are used to coat the existing layer of cement. While this type of bonding is not recommended for durability, it is frequently used in renovations and in road repair.

With appropriate coating concrete is rendered corrosion resistant to a significant degree and can last several hundred years depending how exposed it is to natural elements.
