How To Install Blown In Attic Insulation

Blown in insulation is better that batts when installed properly as it does seal the attic better. First you need to measure your attic area that you plan on insulating. Most attics require a value of R-30, R-38 or R-49, depending on your climate and location. Once you know the square footage of your attic you can determine how much insulation you'll need by simple looking on the chart located on the bag of insulation. How To Replace A Broken Or Cracked Roof Tile 1/7/08

As you well know the main problem with repairing a tile roof is walking on it, and possibly cracking additional tiles while trying to make a repair. I know, I've done it myself! Basically all that needs done is to pry out the broken or cracked tile and replace it with a new one. I'll show you the steps. First, you'll need to take a flat pry bar and carefully slide it under the top of the good roof tile that is covering the broken one. How To Remove Wallpaper

Removing wallpaper doesn't have to be a tedious and dreadful project. Yes it will take a little time and some elbow grease but if you follow these steps you will end up with the wallpaper and glue completely removed and then you can move on to painting your walls or hanging new wallpaper. First you will have to figure out which type of wallpaper you have. Basically there are two types. Most of the newer wallpapers are strippable while the older wallpapers will require more labor. How To Install Carpet On Stairs 09/1/07

There are basically two methods of installing carpet on stairs. One is the waterfall method where one piece of carpet covers each riser and tread. The other is the cap and band installation. In this case the cap is a piece of carpet installed over the treads and the band is the piece that will cover the risers.
